Messhall Launches R&D Bar Program, Tacoteca Gets in The Cinco De Mayo Spirit

And Fala Bar gets really into kale.

LOS FELIZ— Messhall is launching a weekly R&D bar on Wednesday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. on the patio to show guests a bit about what goes into making those oh so tasty libations. Bartender Austin Mendez will teach behind-the-bar secrets and, of course, share his innovative cocktails.

SANTA MONICA— Tacoteca is celebrating Cinco de Drinko Mayo with drink specials all night long. Sip $7 Tequila Ocho or Ilegal Mezcal margaritas,  $3 Pacifico on draft, and $10 Ilegal Mezcal shots with Pacifico beers.

FAIRFAX— The kale craze is still alive and well in LA, and organic falafel specialist Fala Bar is making the cruciferous vegetable a little more appetizing in its kale burger. Launching May 2, the burger is made with kale falafel, purple cabbage, chopped lemony kale, homemade vegan thousand island dressing, and grilled onions and avocado. Not bad.
