Goodbye, Acabar. The lofty pan-Mediterranean restaurant and lounge space always sat on a somewhat tough stretch of Sunset Boulevard, but seemed to be doing well after coasting through their one year anniversary at the end of last summer.

A note posted on the restaurant’s website today details the shutter with the following note:

Thank you to each and every one of Acabar’s customers. We appreciate your support during the past few years. We have had some amazing events, parties & dinners that we will never forget. Thank you to all of our wonderful entertainers and musicians who joined our family each week and celebrated life with us. And a very special thank you to our amazing team for all their hard work and dedication during this incredible, fun journey together.

As of today, the lights are off and the fountain dry. No word on what will become of the once longtime Dar Maghreb space, but it’s a shame to lose all that tile work inside.
