Looks like there will be at least one more chance to get a taste of Adam Perry Lang and Aaron Franklin’s barbecue collaboration after all. Despite initially disavowing plans for a secret pop-up dinner in town, the LA Times is now reporting that a Friday secret dinner is in the works.
Though short on details, the newsy bit of intel notes that dinner is set to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday downtown, and the pair will be cooking up enough to feed 80 diners. The $50 cash only meals come loaded with brisket, pork shoulder, linguica sausage and a variety of sides.
The previous L.A.-based collaboration was a similar last minute announcement for a sit-down experience inside Animal on Fairfax. Tickets sold out in only a few hours, though Roy Choi and Jon Favreau will be selling Cubano sandwiches from a truck out front both nights of the event.
Want to make sure you catch a seat at Friday's dinner? You'll have to follow @AdamPerryLang — he'll be tweeting out the details the day of the event.
