It looks like burgeoning local food and drink publication Life & Thyme has decided to expand their reach. The site was already heavily focused on drinks and cocktail culture, so it’s no surprise that Antonio Diaz and his team are doubling down with a new online publication called In Good Spirits, not long after moving into the quarterly print game.
Following the same filtered and photo-centric model that forms the backbone of Life & Thyme’s coverage, In Good Spirits will focus on deep dives into all aspects of drinking, brands, bars and the people pouring drinks. So far, there’s a a particular focus on interviews, with one up now on Alex Day and another on former Hinoki + The Bird barman Brandyn Tepper. The latter is a founding member of Cocktail Academy, a drinks-focused catering and consulting firm that is working with Life & Thyme to bring In Good Spirits to life.
Being based in L.A. means many of the upcoming stories are likely to land on local barmen or the tools of their trade, and it’s always good to be able to shine more light on the booming cocktail scene in town.
