Orange County is about to experience its first-ever Sushi Roku this summer. The Innovative Dining Group concept currently has five locations (three across L.A. and one each in Las Vegas and Scottsdale, AZ), but will drop below the Orange Curtain for the first time this June.
The relaxed sushi experience should be a welcome one for OC-ers when the restaurant lands in Newport Beach in a couple of months. They're taking up residence, of course, at Fashion Island, where many of L.A. and the nation's most popular concepts have tread before. In fact, the 5,100 sq. ft. restaurant will be right across from one of the country's more popular healthy restaurants already on site: True Food Kitchen.
Look for Sushi Roku to open at Fashion Island sometime in June, offering their California-influenced Japanese dining experience, complete with an eight foot bamboo wall and hand-painted details.
