The Arthur J Begins Staffing Up in Anticipation of Late-May Opening

The interior is almost done, too.

Things are coming along nicely over at The Arthur J, Devid LeFevre's upcoming steakhouse project. Since joining up once again with the Simms folks to keep their stranglehold on the South Bay, LeFervre has been hard at work bringing old-school vibes and a wood-fired grill to the suddenly white-hot Manhattan Beach, in what has become one of the most anticipated openings of the year.

The project is so close to completion, in fact, that they're actively looking for help in the kitchen. This Facebook posting is actively corralling for back of house staff, from dishwashers to line cooks to grill cooks and more. The post asks for people who can "seriously throw down in the kitchen," so if that's you, email away.

Design elements for The Arthur J are also shaping up, thanks to the fcSTUDIO team. Lighting is hung, booths are in place, and chairs are on site, though the space still has a way to go. The exterior is just about photo-ready, though windows are still covered up and there's likely to be a few last-minute cosmetic touch-ups.

The Arthur J is angling for a late-May debut, so expect things to wrap up inside shortly, and staffing to firm up any day now.
