In yet more Arts District beer news, it looks like 213 Hospitality’s long-awaited craft brewery is still moving forward. Not much has been seen from the Cedd Moses / Eric Needleman beer project since it first came to light back in 2013, but recently LA Weekly announced that the forthcoming project had actually landed a brewmaster in Devon Randall, a multiple award-winner formerly of Pizza Port.
The plan, as first announced, would be for the Arts District Brewing name to be used in conjunction with a 17,000 square foot space that would included pizza, games, and more than two dozen taps. The location on Traction Avenue has been seriously overhauled since the Crazy Gideon’s days, and with the addition of Randall seems quite close to opening.
Once unveiled, the large space would immediately look to make an impact in the exceedingly hip neighborhood, even as nearby Iron Triangle Brewing continues to gobble up space in anticipation of a summer arrival.
