Mark Peel, who made a rather subtle return to the L.A. dining scene through Bombo, a seafood-driven stand inside Grand Central Market, is now offering a full slate of fish, shellfish, and other marine products. Everything is considered to be sustainably sourced and relatively seasonal, such as yellowtail, black cod, oysters, white fish, rock cod, salmon, tuna, and squid.
There might also be specials like sea bass, grouper, and scallops, depending on availability. Everything in the case is stocked daily, which means office workers and denizens will have access to some of the freshest seafood in right in the heart of Downtown. Finally, Bombo is now open in the evenings on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, adding yet one more eatery that's serving into dinner service at the Market. Hours run until 9 p.m. on those nights.
