Brigham Yen reports that Nice Cream, which has locations on Abbot Kinney and Santa Monica Place, is opening another scoop shop in Downtown, this time inside The Bloc, which will boast everything from Alamo Drafthouse and TLT Food to its own subway portal. The $180 million dollar remodel inside the old Macy's Plaza on the corner of 7th in between Hope and Flower Streets continues to sign compelling retailers for its lower floor.

The gelato and ice cream shop makes fresh flavors daily using an organic base. One differentiating factor in this location is that the shop will be self-serve, perhaps in the vein of Yogurtland.
