Take a look at the Canoga Park/ Woodland Hills area, getting itself another new restaurant to fit inside of the massive upcoming retail addition The Village at Westfield Topanga. They’re already getting an outlet of Koreatown superstar EMC Seafood, and today comes news that upscale-casual Italian chain Il Fornaio is also headed for the area.
The Village at Westfield Topanga, for anyone wondering what all the fuss is about, debuts in September as a brand new outdoor shopping plaza across the street from the existing Westfield Topanga. Meant to mimic some of L.A.’s more popular open-air shopping destinations like The Grove, the facility is looking to bring in high-end retail and lots of restaurants to fill out their storefronts in anticipation of its fall opening. There’s even going to be a Burke-Williams Day Spa!
So far, confirmed concepts include a Katsuya, Larsen’s Steakhouse, Eureka! burger stop, and even another Wokcano. The on-site Il Fornaio will go slightly more casual than their other outposts, focusing on a more rustic design and terra cotta flooring. Many of the dishes remain the same throughout the large chain, which spans several states, including pizzas, pastas, and lots of wine.
When Il Fornaio opens at The Village at Westfield Topanga this fall, expect daily lunch and dinner service, plus extended weekend hours.
