The expansive Chinese eatery will be around the corner from Staples Center inside LA Live.

The M2K group (Wokcano, 3rd Gen Sake Bar) sure knows how to put together a crowd-pleaser, and this latest production takes a page (in the best possible way) from the likes of Din Tai Fung. Dubbed Triple 8 China Bar & Grill, the expansive restaurant will serve everything from Peking duck and xiao long bao to braised abalone and siu mai.

Located just around the corner from Staples Center on the Olympic Blvd side of LA Live, the place officially opened yesterday. With an airy dining room with rustic woods, raw materials, and Chinese motifs, the design by Tag Front and M2K's CEO Michael Kwan should be just the thing to round out LA Live's food offerings. Located on the ground floor, it'll also be a nice alternative to WP24's more high end approach.
