Just in time for the weekend.

That indefinite closure hanging over Tiki Ti in Los Feliz has come and gone, says the family behind the tiny Tiki spot on Sunset Blvd. In fact, they're reopening tonight.

In a simple post landing earlier this week on the Tiki Ti Facebook page, Mike Buhen and family (who run the place completely on their own) say that the beloved drinkery is returning to normal tonight, with hours running from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Those same hours will also keep for Saturday, and then starting next week Tiki Ti returns to regular service hours.

This latest sudden shut-down put the city on its heels earlier this month, even if the Buhens have in the past been fans of locking the door and taking off for weeks at a time. The public outcry was immense, showing just how important the tiny Polynesian-themed cocktail hut is to the cocktail community and beyond. If you'd like to find out what the fuss is for yourself, head on over tonight at 4 p.m. for a touch of grog.
