After initially coming to life inside of a cutesy little home-turned-cafe space in Redondo Beach, Doma Kitchen lived a pretty quiet existence, serving Bread Lounge carbs and Eastern European-leaning sandwiches and salads. The kitschy, mismatched patio was a particular draw for the beach town, and the spot quickly racked up over 150 (mostly) positive reviews on Yelp. Then, around the new year, Doma Kitchen shuttered in anticipation of a relocation.

It looks now like Doma Kitchen has landed in nearby Manhattan Beach, says Josh Lurie of FoodGPS. The ownership team sent out a bulletin to fans letting them know of the new location at 3562 N. Sepulveda Blvd. in Manhattan Beach, right behind Fry’s Electronics near the Manhattan Beach Village shopping center, and that they’d be hiring up soon in anticipation of their re-opening.

The space appears to be a former Baja Fresh Mexican Grill (a photo posted to the Doma Kitchen Facebook page shows the new owners holding their keys next to the old microphone for the loudspeaker), so there’s a good chance that it’ll take some time to be fully built out. Once completed though, the relatively roomy location should provide lots more seating than their original spot down in Redondo Beach. Hopefully, the South Bay will get to enjoy lamb crepes and rice plov again in no time.
