That means you can get a hamburger, pancake, slice of pie, and coffee, all for well under a buck.

Don't you just wish it were 1938 again? Maybe not, but having those prices sure would be awesome. Well on Tuesday, May 19, Du-par's Encino is celebrating its grand opening with Du-pars' original 1938 prices. Yup, that means 20 cent fresh-ground hamburgers, 25 cent buttermilk pancakes, 15 cent fresh fruit pie slices, and five cent coffee.

The special runs for one day only from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is dine-in only. Encino Du-par's joins outlets in Studio City, Pasadena, and, of course, the original Du-par's Farmhouse at the Los Angeles Farmer's Market, opened in 1938.
