The entire Westfield Century City is going under the knife, with Eataly slated for 2017 debut.

The wait for Eataly in Century City continues, with these latest renderings showing the popular Italian grocery and food court hovering above the upcoming Macy's department store. Mario Batali has already confirmed a 2017 opening, which means Angelenos will have to wait nearly two years for a taste of Italy's finest. It's unclear at this point if this will be the Santa Monica Blvd side, or the Constellation Blvd side, which is where Macy's currently resides in the mall.

For those that haven't been, Eataly is a massive food emporium, with near a dozen purveyors, eateries, and a large retail section that touts everything from the Italian peninsula. From the looks of the rendering, Eataly LA will have a much better inside-outside feel than its Chicago and New York compatriots, which, probably due to weather, are a little more closed in. The New York edition did open a rooftop beer garden after its initial debut.
