There's just one spot in Culver City at the moment.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Matthew Kenney, who just opened Plant Food & Wine on Abbot Kinney, as well as a more fast-casual MAKE OUT in Culver City, is planning on expanding his more approachable concept across Southern California, the company announced in a release this morning.

The plant-based cafe cooks up affordable vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free cuisine along with juices and other healthy items in a slick, minimalist dining room. Chef Kenney, CEO Antony Besso, and Director of Creative Operations Michel Francoeur have partnered up with financier Pierre Bastid to launch several more spots around Southern California.

While Angelenos have plenty of healthy options, it'll be great to see MAKE OUT's vegan fare reach out to places like Orange County, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and perhaps even the Palm Springs area, though flacks haven't confirmed at this point where MAKE OUT has scoped out locations. In addition to wraps, salads, sandwiches, and parfaits, they're expected to commence delivery service toward the end of summer.
