San Gabriel’s Green Zone has been in action for the better part of a decade, focusing on organic ingredients for their organic menu. The place routinely wins accolades for their version of classic dishes like Hainan chicken, and sells everything from noodle soups to gyoza to murasaki yam fries. Now, they’re coming to Pasadena.

New signage is up for the 34 S. Raymond Ave location, which over the years has been everything from a Ukrainian restaurant to a Chinese spot called ZiLin. The Old Town space is currently papered over and showing its pending ABC permit in the window, which means (if all goes well) the new location will run longer hours and allow for beer and wine consumption.

Green Zone’s Instagram account recently unveiled the above exterior shot of the location as well, hinting at a likely late July opening. For now, the current location on Valley Boulevard in San Gabriel is as popular as ever, including their on-site market section, where they sell local and organic produce.
