The ongoing Go Get Em Tiger coffee shop pop-up inside the short-lived Lucky Duck in Silver Lake has been a rousing success by just about any measure. Locals seem to love the casual, uncrowded vibe (complete with free WiFi) and owners Kyle Glanville and Charles Babinski must be happy with the turnout as they approach the highly anticipated opening of a full-on shop in Los Feliz, next door to Hotel Covell.
Apparently, everyone has been so downright pleased with themselves, they’ve decided to expand the scope of the GGET Silver Lake temporary space, going beyond the usual pastry assortment to add in all-day brunch beginning at 7 a.m. and running through 3 p.m.
The new dishes seem a good fit for the neighborhood too, with jammy breads and avocado toast anchoring the menu. Beyond that, there are simple salads, a couple of egg dishes (including a powerful pork burger topped with a fried egg), as well as waffles, granola, and sides of crispy bacon.
In addition, the limited-time coffee shop is still working their full espresso drink menu, as well as teas and cold brews.
The Go Get Em Tiger pop-up in Silver Lake runs daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no official timetable for when it will shut down, but as the Los Feliz location comes along, expect Silver Lake to slow down.
