After quite the rigamarole, it seems that Jimmy Martinez's Pour Vida Latin Flavor in Anaheim is up and running. The former BOA chef, who was previously at 41 Ocean Club in Santa Monica, took up residence in Orange County back in March in order to open his new restaurant along the Center Street Promenade in Anaheim, an area rapidly growing with food and drink options.

What followed was an anticipated opening mired in the muckier side of restaurant work — lease arrangements, extended build-outs, etc. Ultimately, Martinez's soft opening took place last weekend and the restaurant is as of today running full-steam ahead, starting at 10 a.m.

As noted before, the menu is taco-focused and pulls from both land and sea, with lots of vegetarian options thrown in as well. Also, this being Southern California, there are salads and fresh-pressed juices too, plus craft beer and wine — all within striking distance to the nearby (and exceedingly popular) Anaheim Packing District.
