Fabio Viviani, Ben Ford, and Others Team Up With Chef'd For Home-Cooked Recipes

Recipes are crafted by some of the industry's most notable chefs.

Farley Elliott is the Senior Editor at Eater LA and the author of Los Angeles Street Food: A History From Tamaleros to Taco Trucks. He covers restaurants in every form, from breaking news to the culture, people, and history that surrounds LA's dining landscape.

It’s getting even more crowded in the eat-from-home app space, thanks to the arrival of Chef’d. Dubbing itself an online meal store, the platform launched in April with the idea of teaming up with big-name chefs who work to create entire meal recipe portfolios for people to cook at home.

So far, chefs like Ben Ford, Robert Irvine, and Fabio Viviani are on board, crafting meals for Chef'd that fit into categories like Gourmet and Lighter Eating. There are also gluten and meat-free options available.

Currently, the El Segundo-based company is shipping subscription-free to anywhere in the United States within two days, and there are plans as time goes on to expand not only the roster of available menu items, but the stable of chefs as well.
