Inside Blue Bottle Coffee's Beautiful New Beverly Blvd Cafe

New, 7 comments

The specialty coffee giant opens their third L.A. outlet.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Blue Bottle Coffee is on the move, with two spots already populating two of the hippest neighborhoods in town (Arts District and Abbot Kinney). Their third outlet, which opened officially yesterday (to the tone of free coffee for everyone), takes place on the ground floor of a beautiful Art Deco building on Beverly Blvd, just a few blocks from the Beverly Center.

To drink, sip on everything from espresso and single origin pourover to Blue Bottle's own signature New Orlean-style chicory flavored iced coffee.

The design (from Wade Design Architects and Crome) is in line with their other shops around the country, with clean, minimalist lines, white ash accents, and Hiroshima chairs for a pleasant space that'll likely become a popular Mid-City meeting place. In addition to a sunny front patio and communal table, this Blue Bottle will offer a slate of pastries, light sandwiches, waffles, and toast with which to satiate your hunger.

Hours run 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
