Andante Coffee Roasters just rounded third with a new base of operations set up in Downtown Los Angeles. The local roasters and coffee-shop conglomerate already enjoys an original location on Beverly Boulevard, as well as a more recent stop on Sunset in Echo Park.

The Grand Avenue location sits at the base of a standalone apartment building and is perfectly placed for future success, within spitting distance of FIDM and almost across the street from the incoming Whole Foods. There’s a reason, after all, that Hank’s Bar, the Downtown dive legend in the building next door, was forced out; this is some prime real estate.

Unlike their previous two locations, this Andante iteration is meant more as a grab-and-go cafe similar in model to Cofax, but without the expanded food options. Instead, drip coffees and espresso drinks are the order of the day, with a small case for sweets and pastries as well.
