The busy location should see some action soon.

Beau Laughlin has been through a lot in the past year, from the closing of the Downtown megaspace Fifty Seven just six months into its run to his involvement with Joe’s Restaurant in Venice. Along the way, details came out that Laughlin (then as part of the Cardiff Giant restaurant and hospitality brand) would be taking the reins of Naya, the defunct Silver Lake Indian restaurant with an almost spooky interior.

For many months since those initial reports, nothing has been going on. But now there’s new life, thanks to an ABC license opened up for the Sunset Boulevard space. Everything on the paperwork is made murky thanks to some LLCs, but insiders say that Laughlin is still attached to the property.

The revamp would certainly be a timely one, given Silver Lake’s meteoric rise as a bona fide culinary destination. Of course, the arrival of the Trois Mec trio should certainly help in that regard.

No word yet on the concept, but with 6,000 square feet to play with, hopefully there’s something fun coming that way.
