— If you're into pizza, you'll pleased to know that Vegas has an excellent scene, with places like Pizza Rock, D.O.C.G., Grimaldi's, and Metro Pizza highlighting this extremely helpful roundup.

— Paul Bartolotta, who has a namesake restaurant inside the Wynn, will be stepping down from the seafood restaurant come early 2016. In his place comes Mark LoRusso, who also helms the kitchen at Botero inside Encore. The word from Eater Vegas is that LoRusso will put his own mark on the menu, though it's uncertain at this point whether the name will stick around.

— Also at the Wynn resort, SW Steakhouse is getting a $1.1 million dollar renovation, as if the place really needed it. The steak wars are so fierce in Sin City that every place needs to up the ante whenever they can. It closes down July 27 and reopens August 14, just in time for fall.

— It seems $1.1 million is the magic number as Jean-George's Prime inside the Bellagio is getting a facelift starting August 24, with the patio area turning into more of a lounge space.

— Want to plan your next trip to Vegas around a special dinner coming up? Here's a lineup of the fun chef-driven dinners around town.

— Prolific French chef Alain Ducasse has renamed his old Mix lounge to Skyfall (James Bond, anyone?) Thankfully, the Mandalay Corporation has the name trademarked, so Mr. Bond can't do anything about the crossover. It'll be attached to Rivea, which goes into the former Mix.
