Interested in healthy eating but not so interested in paying membership fees to Hollywood's newest wellness center Wanderlust? Quinoa lovers rejoice, Wanderlust Café is open to the masses.
Helmed by NYC restaurateur and Food Network regular Seamus Mullen (Tertulia), the decidedly non-vegan café sports a menu accommodating of those with carnivorous predilections. Mullen, who used food to overcome an incurable autoimmune disease by following a diet that eschewed refined carbohydrates, refined sugars, and processed foods, has crafted a largely plant-based menu accented with proteins from local farms and fisheries.
The all-day eatery sports a selection of healthy options to start the day. There's chia pudding, requisite avocado toast, and a savory porridge of soured ancient grains, but there's also dishes like scrambled eggs with Belcampo bacon and breakfast tacos with charred tomatillo for those looking for something a little more substantial. The lunch and dinner menu appeals to vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores alike with options that include kale Caesar, grilled king oyster mushroom wraps, and ancient grains bowls.
Of course Wanderlust is offering housemade juices and smoothies, Belcampo bone broth, fair trade coffee, and just about everything you could need to follow a "healthy" diet. Wanderlust Café's offerings can be enjoyed inside the casual eatery or on the tranquil patio.
Wanderlust Café is open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
