Yesterday’s Naugles relaunch in Fountain Valley went better than anyone could have possibly anticipated. Christian Ziebarth’s fast food rebirth story took off like wildfire throughout Orange County and beyond, leading to massive lines and an eventual early shutdown at the restaurant, owing to a complete lack of food.

Ziebarth spoke to the OC Register about the massive outpouring of support, telling the paper that fans had been showing up from as far away as Las Vegas. What’s more, he and his partners plan to regroup and reformat the overall experience, switching away from daytime hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. was the original plan) to more evening-friendly ones, with hopes to eventually leave behind their small industrial park storefront for a larger location that can accommodate 24 hour service.

In the meantime, Naugles is back and once again open as of noon today, though odds are the food will once again be wiped out by dinner time. So much for that "soft opening" Ziebarth was hoping for.
