Sweet Rose Creamery is making moves, heading into the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighborhood just in time for some late-summer heatwaves. The GMO-free, kosher certified ice creamery already enjoys locations inside the Brentwood Country Mart, on Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, and along Beverly near the Grove.

Now comes their latest outpost, just north of Sunset Boulevard on Monument Street, right in the thick of the Palisades and just a stones throw from several schools, a park, a library, you name it. Surprisingly, the well-situated street-level storefront on Monument has been empty for years, but is part of a larger, bustling strip mall that’s otherwise pretty full. Hopefully some high quality ice cream will help bring the masses.

As the above photo shows, paper has already gone up over the front windows and work is underway inside. There’s nothing definitive regarding an opening date just yet, but this Craigslist post looking for a General Manager indicates a job start date of July 15, so tack on a few weeks and the Palisades could be enjoying scoops from the Rustic Canyon family by August.
