Thankfully, it's mostly local options.

The upper reaches of the valley have been on the rise, thanks in large part to the incoming changes at the Westfield Topanga property and its sister site, The Village at Westfield Topanga.

A full slate of new upgrades have just landed for the Canoga Park/Woodland Hills-straddling shopping mecca, to go along with the previously announced EMC Seafood arrival and inbound Il Fornaio. In addition to the retail (REI! Costco!) there’s a sizable chunk of L.A.-specific eateries headed up that way.

Local fast casual options like Tender Greens and Eureka! Burger are on board for the luxe new shopping center, which all-in will host over a dozen concepts. ConfeXion, the former Cupcake Wars champion, is coming in as well, as is specialty coffee brand Barista Society and mid-level sushi barons Sushi Katsu-ya. All told, there will be more than a dozen (mostly local) options at the Westfield property.

Construction is currently underway with most of the Village slated to arrive sometime this Fall. Other options, like that EMC Seafood, will arrive much sooner.
