— As if everyone needed an update on what's happening at Grand Central Market this fall, here's a quick recap. Knead & Co is the new name of the pasta bar that Bruce Kalman is opening, while Top Chef winner Ilan Hall's vegan ramen joint is still in the works. Meanwhile, Golden Road is building a craft beer bar, Bar Moruno will offer the same menu of skewers and sandwiches as the Farmers Market window, Courage & Craft will remake the liquor store, and G&B will soon be 360 degrees. — Now LAist is saying that there's just too much poke out there. It's a bit of a good point— does everything need to flip into a poke joint? It's like when froyo started taking over every empty storefront.

— Does Coffee Colab in Downtown have the best low-key latte art in town?

—The Stu and the Kids fundraiser to help orphans from the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand and Burma after graduation took place last night in the courtyard of the Vibiana. The open-air food festival featured short lines and knockout bites from a pretty stellar lineup of chefs. Highlights included Walter Mankze's (Republique) prik nam pla, a salad of grilled corn, peach, pistachio, pork rind, and blazing hot fish sauce vinaigrette; and Sherry Yard's cold pressed Thai iced tea affogatos with coffee gelee cubes and condensed milk. Be sure to get your tickets next year. —Crystal Coser

— Um OK. Kylie Jenner was gifted a Ferrari right outside Sunset Strip nightclub Bootsy Bellows last night from "rumored" boyfriend Tyga. The young Jenner celebrated her 18th birthday inside the club last night.

Can't beat a surprise Ferrari from your bae on your bday! HBD @kyliejenner!!

— And finally, Pok Pok's Andy Ricker checked out Bull Demon King Noodle in Rosemead over the weekend. The larger Chinatown Pok Pok seems to be a few weeks away at this point, so Ricker is making sure he gets a lay of the land before opening.
