— Nudie’s Custom Java is reopening in Newhall, CA. Known mostly as a Western-wear company dating to 1947, Nudie’s has also been known in that part of town as a haven for a cheap cup of coffee. Now the place, formerly a hangout for movie stars and more, will get back to its roots by October 1.
— Wes Avila, Walter Manzke, Fabian Gallardo and Taco Maria’s own Carlos Salgado were on hand yesterday to welcome in the new Petty Cash DTLA space. The taco-themed event sure looked like a party — and there are more dinners to come tonight and tomorrow as well.
