The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is throwing its hat in the ring for your brunch dollars with a revamping of their poolside dining option, the newly-christened Tropicana Café. Expect an offering of Angeleno-focused crowd pleasers, including a short rib grilled cheese, California Kale Salad, Cinnamon French Toast and Baked Eggs Provençal served all day. And let's face it — is there really a better way to work off that Cinnamon French Toast than to down mimosas and lay on a poolside chair?
News of the revamp comes on the heels of a $25 million room renovation spearheaded by design firm Yabu Pushelberg. Now the Tropicana, a lounge that has had a rough go of it judging from a 3-star average rating on Yelp, is next on the list of improvements at the iconic hotel. Who knows? It might just be the go-to brunch if the Ivy's getting too crowded.
