Of course the San Francisco bakery was going to land in the hippest part of town.

The Arts District is on fire. With so many concepts heading to the area, including Salt & Straw and Officine Brera, it's hard to keep track of everything hitting the hip industrial area. But a hint on Facebook revealed that Tartine Bakery, which merged with Blue Bottle Coffee earlier this yearwill be hitting some large building in the Arts District.

At the moment the space is a pretty cold shell, so an opening would most likely take place in 2016. Still, the bright, airy building has all the makings of a great bakery and coffee bar. With Blue Bottle's flagship LA location placed along Mateo, one wonders how closely this Tartine outlet will be to its sister store.
