Looks like Oleego is gaining some steam. The spin-off concept from the Parks BBQ team already enjoys a location right in the thick of things at FIGat7th, and announced plans earlier this year to bring a second outlet to Chinatown, but now it looks like their third location has sprung to life in Sherman Oaks.
The fast casual bowl concept (of course) relies on Korean flavors like bulgogi and tofu, with add-ons ranging from spicy soy sauce to bean paste, along with an assortment of banchan and all the other fixin's. Of course, the whole thing is buoyed by options for rice — white, brown, fried, kimchi fried, you name it — making for a one-dish wonder of flavors.
Apparently the bowl notion isn't just catching on in Downtown, it's getting popular with mall shoppers on the go, as the newest outpost in Sherman Oaks rests squarely inside the Westfield Fashion Square. A call to the Downtown location confirmed that the eatery soft-opened as of yesterday, which means anyone looking to stock up on mid-priced jeans now has a lunch alternative waiting for them — and there’s no need to leave the mall.
