The West Valley continues to come on slowly, with recent arrivals like Gasolina Cafe and the incoming Village at Westfield Topanga. Add to that list one more new name: HQ Gastropub, slated for a September 1 opening in Woodland Hills.

Straddling the line between TV-laden sports bar, craft beer hall, and upscale dinner destination, HQ (that’s High Quality, not Headquarters) hopes to plant its flag as a one-stop shop for the upscale folks tucked away in the canyons out that way. The interior is a blend of rock and roll iconography, brick walls, and puffy booths, and there’s even going to be a private dining experience called ‘The Station’, with its own entrance to a room that’s wrapped in white leather couches and comes complete with a private catalogue of rock luminaries like Slash.

As for the menu, there are 64 tap lines carrying big name and local brands alike, with a food side focused mainly on burgers. Part of the experience will be to pairing drinks with the entrees, but mostly this is upscale pub grub done in exactly the sort of boisterous environment you’d expect.

HQ Gastropub opens on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills this September.
