Highland Park has been waiting for Jason Eisner’s Block Party to arrive for some time now, but it seems like things are finally a go for Friday night now.

To recap: Eisner, of Gracias Madre/Cafe Gratitude fame, has been working on putting together a craft beer-focused party spot in Highland Park since around the beginning of the year. The plan is for craft and quality, of course, but there’s also room on the redwood patio out back for playing yard games and whatnot, which should keep things lively.

Food-wise, Eisner is plotting for mostly cheese and charcuterie boards, with vegan-friendly options for those in need. It’s casual fare, but meant to complement the drink nicely.

Now the party is slated for Friday, according to this Instagram post from Eisner himself, though there’s no word on specific timing. Still, the arrival has been long in the works, and should help to further anchor the burgeoning drinking scene out that way.
