Sugarfish's Super Fresh Sushi Now Ready for Its Hollywood Spotlight

Expect to wait for your table.

Hollywood denizens and industry types now have just the thing to brighten their days starting tonight. Sugarfish, the rapidly expanding sushi empire brought to you by Kazunori Nozawa, has now opened its doors right on Sunset Boulevard in Tinseltown.

Sugarfish lands in the mixed-use Columbia Square building, across from Gower Gulch and a short walk away from Sunset Gower Studios, Siren Studios, Emerson College, and a whole lot of office buildings. It's the first of many exciting developments in Hollywood, what with news of New York's ultra sceney Beauty & Essex (probably) landing just around the corner in the upcoming Thompson Hotel.

Expect the same beloved "Trust Me" menus that deliver exceptional quality given their reasonable pricing. As for design, it's the signature Sugarfish look, with plenty of pendant lights and blonde wood paneling, but with brick accent walls and dark green booths that adds industrial vibes that differ from the airy La Brea and Beverly Hills locations.

As construction is still underway at Columbia Square, parking is a bit of a hassle, with options limited to the street, a lot in Sunset Media Center, or a lot on El Centro. The Columbia Square lot is due to open sometime in early September. No word on the exact hours, but expect something around 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Remember, no reservations, so it's first come, first served.
