Block Party Brings a Massive Shuffleboard and Lots of Quality Craft Beer to Highland Park

So simple, so cool. Opening tonight.

Barman Jason Eisner has been hard at work bringing Block Party to life, and today is finally the day. After a summer of waiting, the Highland Park craft beer party space is lifting the veil tonight for the first time.

Eisner, the cocktail maestro behind the drinks at Gracias Madre and Cafe Gratitude, is bringing his beer knowledge to Block Party with a full slate of craft offerings, plus hot dogs (vegan and meaty) available from a cool-as-hell cart out on the back patio.

Speaking of which, the patio is the main draw for Block Party. The interior space is stripped down and spare, with a wraparound bar and coolers for craft beer cans. But the patio is expansive, lined in redwood and overrun with a massive shuffleboard. Communal picnic tables and string lights round out the easygoing party area, making it an ideal place for, of course, a block party.

The beer bar opens tonight at 5 p.m.
