Apparently no longer content with just sitting there and letting customers innovate the hell out of their menu, Panda Express has taken to the streets. Namely, with a branded food truck that’s dishing out hot piles of orange chicken.

The LA Times has all the dirty details on the truck, which is promising a nationwide tour that will eventually land in New York City. To start, the Panda Express-mobile will be popping up at the KCRW Chinatown Summer Nights on August 22, dishing out free orange chicken to the masses and letting people hang out in their adjacent lounge area. There will also be an orange chicken chef’s challenge involving some of the city’s biggest culinary names, apparently.

From there, the truck will depart for cities unknown, handing out free bowls of orange chicken at every stop and eventually ending up in Manhattan where, strangely enough, no Panda Express currently exists.

Want to get your own sticky fingers on some free orange chicken? You’ll have to head to Chinatown Summer Nights later this month.
