That slow-rolling Sherman Oaks seafood spot known as Marlin & Ono Grille has arrived, after flying under the radar for months with just some teaser photos of their upcoming menu. Still, it’s been enough to draw big attention for Valleyites wanting to eat well.

Rumor has it, friends and family has been going down for the last few nights, but that hasn’t been independently confirmed just yet. What is official is their OpenTable page, which shows plenty of availability starting next week.

The southern Italian restaurant, by way of chef Martin Colman, plans to lean pretty heavy on fresh seafood and elegant preparations. The space itself has a white-tablecloth kind of feel, with large leather lounge seats, tall ceilings, and lots of glass facing out to the boulevard. Remember, this is the former Señor Fred space, so there’s patio room to spare.

As for timing, it looks like Marlin & Ono will keep evening hours only beginning next week, at least to start. They’ll be seven days a week though, from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. during the week, and until 1:30 a.m. on weekends, which should make their bar a pretty popular place to be in Sherman Oaks.
