Some noodles headed to this sleepy stretch of West LA.

Yumeya Ramen, which doesn't have any existing outlets, is slated to open in the former Beard Papa flagship nearby the corner of Sepulveda and Palms Avenue, bringing a solid eatery to a block that doesn't have too much in the way of quality. This location was once the Westside outlet of Guelaguetza before closing a few years ago and making way for Beard Papa's.

The Japanese cream-puff purveyor closed down a few weeks ago, opening up a prime place for another Westside ramen joint. Not much else is known about Yumeya at this point, but the interior shouldn't need too many changes. The kitchen might need a different outfit, so that could take a few weeks. A sign on the front projects an October debut, so let's hope this one turns around quickly.
