Lobster Roll Mania Hits Vegas, Bocuse D'Or Competition at The Venetian, and More!

— The lobster roll craze has hit Los Angeles hard. This week comes news that New York's popular East Village lobster roll specialist Luke's Lobster will be headed to the Strip this November. This will be the westernmost outlet for former lobsterman Luke Holden, and will offer his signature Maine lobster rolls, chowders, bisques, and Maine microbrews.

— Now you don't have to fly to Lyon to get a taste of the Bocuse d'Or, the biennial Olympics of the culinary world. As a part of Ultimo Weekend at The Venetian December 17-19, a live, all-day culinary competition will determine which chefs will go on to compete as a part of Team USA at Bocuse d'Or 2017. Guest chefs attending include Jerome Bocuse, Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Phillip Tessier, Tom Colicchio, and Grant Achatz, which makes for some serious culinary firepower.

— Jumping out of your seat for Rick's Rolling Smoke Tavern at Pawn Plaza? The wait is almost over, as Pawn Stars patriarch Rick Harrison announces he will unveil his massive 11,708-square-foot retail and dining plaza in two weeks.

— The Bellagio's Sensei is officially down for the count. In its place is farm-to-table concept Harvest by Roy Ellamar. Expect an "immersive mixology experience," charcuterie, "Snack Wagons," and stone oven-baked catch of the day.
