Police are on high alert today for someone who held up a Church’s Chicken in Jefferson Park on Sunday — and they’re asking for the public’s help.
Surveillance video from both inside and outside the fast food fried chicken joint has been shared with local media, including CBS Los Angeles, in the hopes that someone will be able to ID the man with the gun.
According to police, the unnamed assailant walked into the corner Church’s Chicken on Jefferson and Western at around 10:30 a.m., pulled a gun and demanded all of the cash from the register. He then moved on to a second register, all while keeping the gun trained on employees. At one point, the potential shooter allegedly even squeezed off a round when the second employee took too long getting access to the cash in the register.
Got any details that could help? Feel free to reach out to the LAPD Southeast Division directly. Otherwise, sit back and breathe a sigh of relief that no one was hurt.
