One Valley restaurant to move on, while another expands.

New ABC paperwork has appeared in the window at Il Tiramisu in Sherman Oaks. The Ventura Boulevard-anchored Italian spot always seemed relatively popular with the locals (they rock a killer Friday night half-off wine deal), but now comes confirmed details that point to another Valley destination — Leo & Lily, currently holed up in Woodland Hills — taking over the location.

A call to Leo & Lily confirms the impending arrival, with an unofficial timeline that should put the second outpost in by around January. For those unfamiliar, Leo & Lily is a sort of easygoing all-day cafe space, working morning and lunch most of the time alongside evening weekend hours. It’s the sort of place where the most expensive dish on the menu — a plate of steak frites — clocks in at around $16, and locals love to sneak in early in the day for coffee and a pastry.

Update: Here's an official statement from the Il Tiramisu folks.

Thank you for 17 wonderful years...

With mixed emotions, I share with you the news that the last day of Il Tiramisu Ristorante & Bar is planned to be December 1st, 2015. My father, after 60 years in the hospitality industry, has decided to retire, and I will take a break to spend time with my lovely wife and daughter.

Since July 1998, it has been our pleasure to have been a special part of your lives - your birthday celebrations, anniversaries, wedding proposals, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, and so many other special events. And who can forget the over 100 wine dinners!!! What great times indeed.

Many thanks must go to our professional, dedicated, and caring staff that haven taken great pride in being an important part of the Il Tiramisu family.

So, let's celebrate all the special memories that we have and make a few more. We will be open untilDecember 1 and would love to see you again. As a token of our appreciation, all bottles of wine will be half price every night. You have been a great part of our lives. We are truly thankful for all the love and friendship you have given us. Thank you again for 17 wonderful years.

If you'd like to sneak in to Il Tiramisu one last time, you can check out their menu and make reservations here.
