No more looking for your plov fix

The Weekly has found it! Uzbekistan's national dish, apparently, is alive and well in a Russian-themed deli in Valley Village. You just have to be willing to eat it on the sidewalk.

Echo Park's Rodeo Grill seeks to expand

The decently-sized Rodeo Grill on Sunset is hoping to attract a drinkier crowd, says The Eastsider, with plans to hopefully expand by way of a longer, nearly 500 foot-long bar and 200 foot patio. Sqirl goes official, according to the US Patent and Trademark Office

No more ripping off those jams and sorrel pesto rice bowls! Apparently Jessica Koslow has managed to trademark the Sqirl™ name into infinity, which might just mean an expansion of her existing preserves line to national (and maybe even intergalactic) status. A smart move, considering the volume of prepared products expected to be moving through the upcoming Sqirl Away shop.

A taco stand shooting in South LA

Tough news out of South LA, as three children were injured (all are expected to make a full recovery, with only two being transported to the hospital) in an apparent gang-related drive by shoot at a taco stand off Figueroa. NBCLA has more news on the scary scenario, which happened around 8:40 p.m. last night.
