If you tried to get a table at Jon & Vinny’s last night, chances are you didn’t make it inside. Not because of a crush of fans following Kanye around (he’s reportedly there a decent amount), but because of a serious structure fire that hit the address around 9 p.m.

The Los Angeles Fire Department put out this tweet last night, which points to Jon & Vinny’s:

And not long after, the Animal guys themselves Instagrammed a shot of fire trucks out in front of the place as well, saying the former Damiano’s spot would be closed until further notice but that, luckily, no one was hurt.

Jon & Vinny's will be closed tomorrow • standby for more details • we'll be back up soon • thankfully nobody was hurt

Since then, there hasn’t been much else learned about the fire — no word officially on what caused the blaze or the extent of the damage just yet, but it’s likely a safe bet that the team takes the long weekend (at least) to sort things out. For an example of the extensive renovations that can necessarily result from a kitchen fire, look to Tar & Roses in Santa Monica: the popular spot thought they’d be down for only a few days, but remain closed even now.

The worst of it all? The two Yelp reviews (one giving a single star, another giving two stars) that arrived after the fire, moaning about the lost reservation because of the fire. That’s just shameful.
