Jon & Vinny's fans (we're looking at you, Kanye) can breathe a sigh of relief. After the Los Angeles Fire Department reported a fire last Thursday, September 3 at Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo's newest Italian-American eatery, the Fairfax restaurant has been temporarily shuttered ever since.

Luckily, all seems to be going well since the blaze that caused no injuries. The family-friendly Italian joint hopes to reopen for dinner service on Monday, September 14 (barring any additional delays) , with full service breakfast, lunch, and dinner starting up the next morning.

Reservations are now being accepted for two weeks out, so now may be the best time to snag one of the hottest tables in town.

UPDATE: According to Jon & Vinny's staff, the building never actually caught fire. Some building material near the kitchen began smoking and the LA Fire Department was quick to respond, putting out the smoke before any significant flame began. The Fire Department was also careful not to destroy any of the existing structure so that the repairs could occur as quickly as possible. The exact opening date hasn't been set but they're estimating early next week.
