Brace yourselves: Shake Shack is coming to L.A. sooner than expected. No, their first West Hollywood location is not ahead on their construction schedule; rather, the culinary team behind the East Coast behemoth is doing a one-night-only pop-up inside of Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo’s seafood restaurant Son of a Gun on Monday, January 25.

It’s the first big drop-in that Shake Shack will make in their new Los Angeles market, but likely won’t be their last. Instead, the team plans to do a handful of other events leading up the eventual late spring opening in West Hollywood.

So what’s on the menu? The original ShackBurger, for one. They will also be cooking up those signature crinkle cut fries (offered with Son of a Gun’s own in-house aioli this time), and doing a whoopie pie-style dessert. For their part, Jon & Vinny are rocking a tuna melt (and supplying the space, of course). Sadly, the ChickenShack isn't making the trip.

To help ease the inevitable crowds, Shake Shack will be letting guests line up in advance of the 6 p.m. opening, but behind a stanchion so as not to hog the sidewalk. You’ll order from the back bar, and the team will do their best to turn out food as quickly as possible. No reservations will be taken, so plan on waiting in line.

Hours for the Shake Shack / Jon & Vinny’s collaboration on Monday, January 25 will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., one night only. You might want to try to grab your parking space in front of Son of a Gun now, otherwise good luck finding a spot.
