There’s no stopping the Shake Shack train apparently, as news comes late that a third location has been finalized to bring the New York burger brand into the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Per noted real estate blogger Brigham Yen, a deal has been struck that will put the Big Apple's biggest burger export inside the (currently still operating) 801 Hill nightclub, right on the corner of Hill and 8th Street.

As Yen notes, this new location will technically be the first in Los Angeles proper — the first two outlets are slated for the cities of West Hollywood and Glendale, respectively — and should be pretty ample in size, at over 3,000 square feet. As for a timeline, look for a mid-2016 construction start, with an early 2017 arrival.

Don’t forget, this is the same intersection that is already slated to get its own Sweetgreen salad empire sometime soon, and around the corner is the soon-to-open Shibumi, which will be L.A.’s most prolific new Kappo-style restaurant. Can’t wait until 2017 for your burger fix? You can always wait in line at their Son of a Gun pop-up later this month.
