Sotto's Daniel Cutler Makes One Hell of a Pizza

And he wants to show you how.

Farley Elliott is the Senior Editor at Eater LA and the author of Los Angeles Street Food: A History From Tamaleros to Taco Trucks. He covers restaurants in every form, from breaking news to the culture, people, and history that surrounds LA's dining landscape.

Here’s an easy afternoon watch: Sotto chef de cuisine Daniel Cutler (he’s apparently the man responsible right now for the downstairs restaurant’s stellar pizzas) shows you how to put together one hell of a pie. Playboy handles the interview as part of their Indulgence food and drink series, with Cutler making a simple margherita and host Jeremy Repanich tacking on some sausage and a fried egg.

The result is a 50-second blasted pizza that comes steaming from the 900 degree oven and ready to eat immediately. It’s not hard to see why Sotto has some of the best pizzas in the city.
