Back in August, word broke that British pub King’s Head in Studio City would be flipping into a different bar concept from across town: Hyperion Public, which operates an original location in Silver Lake. Now it looks as though the turnaround is complete, with the new Ventura Boulevard drink spot officially opening today.

The previous tenant, King’s Head, had worked as a sister site to the Santa Monica original Ye Olde King’s Head since 2012, but ultimately found the climate unsustainable — particularly with ultra-popular The Fox and Hounds nearby. Now that Hyperion Public is in, expect a run of craft beer taps to fit the presumed new clientele, plus some reworked decor (including the pared-down exterior, which is meant to match the original location). Though there’s no official menu posted online yet, it’s safe to assume an array of dishes similar to the Silver Lake original, which means burgers, fries, and a few larger format entrees like steak frites. Weekend brunch will likely kick in sometime in February.

Hours for Hyperion Public Studio City run 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with lunch, dinner, happy hour, and late night service.
